Rev. Dr. Alvin E. Attah

A devoted servant of God, seasoned educator, and transformational leader within the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. His mission is to serve God’s people, foster community growth, and raise leaders who will shape a brighter tomorrow.

With decades of ministry experience across Africa and beyond, his journey has been defined by faithful service, unwavering integrity, and a passionate commitment to the gospel message revealed by the Lord, Jesus Christ. Through his preaching, teaching, mentoring, and providing leadership, thousands of lives have been transformed, churches strengthened, and communities empowered for lasting impact.

He has had a profound and multifaceted impact on young people in Africa through his leadership at AME University and beyond. He often emphasizes the transformative power of education in personal development, stressing the need for young people to leverage their education to make meaningful contributions to their own and the nation's growth. He is a known advocate for the empowerment of individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusive educational opportunities for all. Through these initiatives, he’s equipping a new generation with the skills, values, and opportunities needed to build a stronger Liberia.

Rev. Dr. Attah is happily married to Mrs. Naomi Lewis Attah, and their union is blessed with two amazing boys.

Rev. Dr. Attah says, “As I look toward 2028, I prayerfully offer myself as a candidate for the office of Bishop, my heart remains steadfast—to be a servant leader for a great church. It’s not about earning another title; it’s about answering a divine call. My vision is to help guide the AME Church into a future where faith, innovation, and compassion work together to uplift people, nurture spiritual growth, and equip the next generation of leaders.”
